SPRING LAKE – Spring Lake had three solid quarters, but a disastrous third quarter spelled doom for the Lakers in a 62-58 loss to Grand Rapids West Catholic.
In the pivotal third quarter, the Lakers were outscored 19-7 in the OK-Blue contest. The Lakers led 27-20 at the half.
Zach Schlepp had a solid game with 20 points while Jaden Core and Karson George scored 13 and nine points, respectively. Eli Morrison threw in eight points.
Spring Lake (5-5, 1-2) will be at Hamilton on Tuesday for a conference contest.
