NORTON SHORES – The Whitehall boys basketball team narrowly preserved their perfect season as they edged out Mona Shores, 59-58, on Tuesday night.

Camden Thompson was a force on the boards and he earned a double-double of 13 points, 20 rebounds and six assists. Kyle Stratton led the scoring with 15 points, four steals and four assists. Kal Koehler added 12 points and five rebounds. Camar Ready scored 10 points for the Vikings.

The Sailors’ Jonathan Pittman posted a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds. Jordan Bledsoe and Ryan Opsommer scored 15 points apiece. 

Whitehall (15-0, 7-0) will be at home against Grand Rapids Covenant Christian on Friday.

Mona Shores (10-5, 4-3) will host Reeths-Puffer on Friday for an OK-Green contest.
