Strong finish earns Montague a hard-fought basketball victory over Hart

The Montague boys’ basketball team closed out Tuesday night’s contest strong in a 51-46 West Michigan Conference win over Hart.

The Wildcats led 12-8 at the end of the first quarter and 26-23 at halftime before the game was tied 38-38 heading into the final quarter.

Montague outscored the Pirates 13-8 during the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Owen Raeth paced the Wildcats with 13 points, while Paul Olson added 12, Cole Herremans chipped in 10 and Isaiah Atchison scored nine.

Montague is now 9-5 on the season and 3-4 in league play.
