FREMONT – The Fremont bowling team closed out the regular season with a 1-1 split against Holton at Fremont Lanes on Wednesday.

The girls cruised to a 20-10 win and the boys were edged out, 17-13.

Gavin Payne led with a career-high game of 243, followed by Kaden Johnson and Owen Hertel with games of 230 and 222, respectively.

For the girls, Sophia Romine threw games of 191 and 185. Andrea Anderson added a game of 173 and Annika Yuhasz had 167.

Fremont and Holton will compete in the WMC tournament at Northway Lanes on Monday.
