Freshman’s double-double sparks Grand Haven girls to league victory over Hudsonville

GRAND HAVEN – Mallory Woiteshek pulled together a double-double performance to help the Grand Haven girls basketball team earn a 42-37 OK-Red victory over Hudsonville on Friday.

Woiteshek scored 11 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and made four blocks.

The Bucs created a 13-10 advantage after the first quarter.

Gillian Sorrelle led the scoring with 13 points. She also had three steals. Abbey Clumped had seven points and four assists, while Abby Spoonas scored five points and had eight rebounds.

Grand Haven (14-2, 6-2) will host Rockford in conference play on Tuesday.
