FRUITPORT – The Fruitport Calvary Christian girls basketball team completed a fourth quarter comeback in a low-scoring affair and defeated Hesperia, 20-18, on Friday night.

The Eagles were down 15-11 going into the fourth quarter, but managed a 9-3 scoring advantage and secured the victory.

Liberty LaBrenz led Calvary Christian with seven points and Makayla Assaad scored five points.

The Panthers’ Sarissa Conkle led all scorers with 11 points, while Alana Nadjkovic added five points.

Fruitport Calvary Christian (2-8, 1-2) will travel to Grand Rapids West Michigan Aviation Academy for Alliance League play on Friday.

Hesperia (3-12, 0-8) hosts Shelby on Tuesday for a WMC-Rivers contest.
