MUSKEGON — Manistee’s girls basketball team concluded the West Michigan Conference Lakes Division season with a 51-42 win at Oakridge Tuesday night.

It snapped a three-game winning streak for the Eagles.

Jayna Edmondson made five 3-point baskets and scored 21 points to lead the Mariners, while Libby McCarthy followed with 13.

Destiny Bowen scored 10 points to lead the Eagles. Anna Lundquist contributed nine and Cami Guenthardt added seven.

Manistee trailed 17-15 at the end of the first period, but rallied to take a 29-23 edge at the half. The Mariners led 41-38 after three.

The Mariners moved their record to 9-12 on the season, 6-6 in the conference. Manistee hosts Pine River in a non-conference game Thursday night.

Oakridge fell to 7-14 on the season and ended its conference season 3-9. The Eagles are idle now until the districts at Fruitport.
