The Oakridge boys’ basketball team needed overtime to defeat Fremont 66-61 on Tuesday night in a West Michigan Conference clash.

The Eagles led 16-14 at the end of the opening quarter and 32-22 at halftime.

Fremont stormed back going on an 18-9 third-quarter run to cut its deficit to 41-40 going into the fourth quarter.

The Packers forced overtime, but Oakridge closed out the game on a 13-8 run to seal the victory.

The Eagles were led by Peyton Ruel with 17 points, while Julian Primmer added 14 and Evan Miller scored 13. Bryson Stephenson and Evan Jozsa had 11 and nine points, respectively.

Chaz Miller led Fremont with 16 points while Will DeBlake added 13.
