MESICK — Baskets were hard to come by the Friday night, but the Pentwater girls basketball team used great ball movement to create good looks and defeated host Mesick, 38-26.

It was a West Michigan D League game.

Pentwater was finally able to pry the lid off the basket as Aubrie Adams knocked down two 3-pointers and Charles Swanger hit two big baskets and drew multiple fouls.

Adams and Swanger finished the game with 15 points apiece, while Sam Schaefer ripped down 13 rebounds with Swanger pulling down nine.

Pentwater bumped its record up to 12-6 overall and 10-6 in in league. The Falcons travel to Walkerville on Tuesday for a third game that will not be counted in the standings.
