NORTON SHORES – Jaxson Whitaker and Travis Ambrose continue to lead the Reeths-Puffer boys’ basketball team to a successful season.

On Friday, Whitaker scored 22 points, dished out four assists and had two steals for the Rockets, while Ambrose scored 19, pulled down 13 rebounds and added four blocks in a 62-47 victory over host Mona Shores on Friday.

The Rockets (14-1) sit atop the OK-Green standings with an 8-0 record.

Reeths-Puffer led 17-9 at the end of the first quarter, 37-14 at halftime and 50-23 through three quarters of play.

Mona Shores finished strong, outscoring the Rockets 24-12 in the final quarter.

Marvin Moore added eight points for Reeths-Puffer, while Antrel Jones had five points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.

The Sailors were paced by Jordan Bledsoe with 20 points while Johnathan Pittman added nine.
