The Spring Lake girls’ basketball squad failed to maintain their early lead as they fell to Holland Christian 58-48 on Tuesday in an O-K Blue contest.
The Lakers led 19-14 at the end of the opening quarter, but trailed 26-25 at halftime and 44-41 through three quarters of play.
Holland Christian pulled away during the fourth quarter, outscoring the Lakers 14-7.
Ella Andree paced Spring Lake with 12 points, five assists and four steals while Ellie Wrona added 10 points.
Alexa Carter and Brooke Bolthouse each added eight points and Tessa Britt chipped in six.
The Lakers are now 12-5 on the season and 7-4 in conference play. They will travel to play Grand Rapids West Catholic on Friday.
