Jaxson Whitaker and Travis Ambrose stuffed the stat sheet on Friday night as the Reeths-Puffer boys’ basketball cruised past Wyoming 83-70 in an O-K Green game.
Whitaker paced the Rockets with 26 points, eight assists and three steals, while Ambrose added 20 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks.
Reeths-Puffer led 22-16 at the end of the opening quarter, 39-32 at halftime and 58-46 through three quarters of play.
Brayden Mitchelson chipped in 14 points and four rebounds while Marvin Moore scored 13 points.
“Wyoming always plays hard, and they shot the ball really well tonight,” said Reeths-Puffer coach Nate Aaredema. “We had to work hard for the win. We had some great stat lines tonight.”
The Rockets are now 17-2 overall, 11-1 in the O-K Green. They will face ranked North Farmington Saturday at Grand Rapids Catholic Central.
