NORTH MUSKEGON – The Whitehall girls basketball team wrapped up the regular season with a 43-36 win against North Muskegon on Thursday night.

“Whitehall put together a very mature game,” said North Muskegon coach Jill Young. “We actually shut their scorer down, but their size and rebounding got the job done in the end.”

Kendal Osborne led the Vikings with 19 points and eight rebounds and Lexi Daggett added 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

The Norse’s Delaney Young posted a double-double of 18 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Emma Buchmiller added six points and a pair of steals, while Marilyn Gaston chipped in five points. Emma Lamiman and Allie Jensen grabbed five rebounds apiece.

Whitehall (9-13, 6-6) will face Oakridge in the Division 2 district opener at Fruitport on Monday.

North Muskegon (12-10, 7-5) will take on the winner of Shelby vs. White Cloud next week in the district tournament.
