MANISTEE — Ludington remained unbeaten in the West Michigan Conference with a 2-0 victory over Manistee on the road Wednesday.

It was the Orioles’ first shutout of the season.

The Orioles scored both goals in the first half, one came off the foot of Maddy Billings and Emma McKinley got the other, from an assist by Billings.

Ludington goalkeeper Cambria Britton earned the shutout with five saves, including a couple outstanding rejections that preserved the shutout.

Her counterpart for Manistee, Piper Eskridge finished with 10 saves.

The Orioles improved to 2-5-3 overall and 2-0-3 in the conference. Ludington hosts Fruitport on Friday.

Manistee fell to 1-6-1 overall and 1-4-0 in the WMC. The Mariners travel to Kingsley on Friday.
