Mona Shores’ Norden moves into second in career goals, leads Sailors to shutout victory over Wyoming

NORTON SHORES – Shay Norden moved into the second spot in career goals at Mona Shores on Thursday night. The game ended with the Sailors posting an 8-0 victory over Wyoming.

Norden’s two goals gives her 59 in her career and that surpassed Nora Brown, a 2019 graduate who finished her career with 58 goals.

Sarah Mikesell, a 2018 graduate holds the top spot with 104 career goals.

Olivia Naylor added a pair of scores, while Summer Darrow, Sophie Brown, Braylin Meyers and Ava Freye each chipped in a goal.

Ella Charland and Norden each had two assists.

Katie Phillips, Addison Fisher and Meyers each had one assist.

Goalkeeper Jersey VanderWall posted her fifth shutout of the season.

Mona Shores (6-1-1, 3-0-1) will take a trip to Traverse City Central on Saturday.
