MUSKEGON – The Mona Shores girls basketball team held off a late-game push from OK-Green foe Reeths-Puffer, 42-40, on Friday evening. 

The Sailors led 20-13 at halftime, but the Rockets flipped the advantage with a 27-22 second-half scoring run that tightened up the score.

Logan Clausen led the Sailors with 13 points, while Khaleeya Cook and Tia Norman scored eight and six points, respectively.

Brooklyn Tornes led the Rockets with 23 points, four rebounds and four steals. Megan Barnes chipped in 15 points and a pair of rebounds.

Mona Shores (8-7, 4-4) will take a short trip to Muskegon for league play on Tuesday.

Reeths-Puffer (5-9, 4-4) also will asee conference action on Tuesday at Holland.
