ZEELAND – The Mona Shores boys golf team finished third and Reeths-Puffer fourth in an OK-Green jamboree hosted by Zeeland West on Thursday.

The match was played at Crestview Golf Course in rainy, cold weather.

Holland finished in first with 163, Zeeland West came in second place with 164 and the Sailors were third with 172. Reeths-Puffer came in with a 181.

For Mona Shores, Lucas Dethloff, Eddie Kuznar, Josiah Bement and Cooper Nellis tied for 11th place with 43. Kaidyn Berghuis carded a 45 and Nathan Tilden shot a 47.

Reeths-Puffer finished fourth for the second straight time in the jamboree format. Sophomore Kristian Brown had five pars and finished with a 42. Senior Dylan Panozzo finished at 45 and junior Ayden Hartzell had a 46. Juniors Aiden Waggoner and Jamie Neel each carded a 48 and Calvin Schlee rounded out the Rockets’ lineup with a 50.

“For the second straight night we found ourselves in the middle of the pack,” said Rocket coach Matt Pallett. “There really is no clear-cut favorite for the league title this year. We need to play a little better to put ourselves in the mix. I know the team will work hard to do just that.”

Mona Shores will be at Winding Creek on Wednesday for a conference jamboree.

On Saturday, Reeths-Puffer will be at the Kent City Invitational.
