RAVENNA — The Ravenna Bulldogs overcame a 2-1 halftime deficit with two second-half goals and captured a 3-2 victory over the Manistee Mariners on Wednesday.

Alayna Edmondson put in the first Mariners’ goal when she converted a turnover, and Jayna Edmondson assisted on a Kate Somsel goal.

But, that was the last Manistee would score.

Coach Kathy Smith was pleased with the continued strong defensive play of her team. Ceci Postma had a goal line save, and goalkeeper Piper Eskridge finished with 17 saves.

Manistee fell to 0-2 on the season and 0-1 in the conference. The Mariners’ next action is Friday night at home against Suttons Bay in a non-conference game.
