NORTON SHORES – Nathan Opfermann and Jaden Thomas were the men on the hill for Mona Shores in its baseball matchup against Grand Haven.

The pair led Sailors to a doubleheader win over Grand Haven on Saturday.

The Sailors won the opener, 10-1, and Game 2, 6-0.

In Game 1, Opfermann allowed four hits, one run and struck out five batters.

Zack Keesen had four hits, two runs and RBI, while Hunter Krueger had three hits and an RBI. Ethan Ring added two hits, one run and three RBI. Jayden Ammeraal had two hits and scored three runs.

Jaden Thomas earned the win on the mound in Game 2, giving up just three hits with one strike out.

Brady Recknagel had one hit, one run and two RBI. Ammeraal, Thomas, Brady Tilden and Eli Habetler chipped in one hit and one run apiece. Keesen scored a run and had an RBI.

Mona Shores (10-4) will be at home on Tuesday for a doubleheader against Wyoming.
