MUSKEGON – Muskegon Catholic brought the big bats on Wednesday and the result was a big doubleheader sweep over the Muskegon Big Reds.
MCC won the opener 20-5 and the nightcap 18-0.
In the opener, Owen Lyonnais was the winning pitcher with relief from Casey Hanson. Devontae Davis took the loss for the Big Reds.
Leading hitters for the Crusaders were Jacob Lyonnaise with two hits. Ryan Hilson knocked in three runs and Bryan Convertini had a hit and two RBI.
In the nightcap, Ryan Hilson pitched a no hitter.
Leading hitters for MCC were Owen Lyonnais with 2 hits and 3 RBI and Convertini with a double and 2 RBI.
MCC is now 5-1.
