HOLTON – The Ravenna softball team swept Holton in a doubleheader on Tuesday evening.

The Bulldogs won the opening game, 6-2.

Addison Gillard struck out five batters and gave up two runs, three hits and a walk. Natalie Rosel came on in relief, striking out seven and walking one.

Reese Herremans posted a home run for the Bulldogs, while Sydney Morrissey had two hits and a double. Emma Herremans, Emily Postema and Riley Homoly each had a pair of hits.

The nightcap was closed out in four innings as the Bulldogs cruised to an 18-3 win over the Red Devils.

Gillard gave up three runs, four hits and struck out two, while Rosel struck out four and gave up two hits and a walk.

At bat, Gillard had three hits, including a homer and a triple. Homoly posted two doubles in her three hits. Taylor Nutt, Postema and Raelyn Olsen each had a hit.

Ravenna (4-0 overall, 2-0 WMC) will be at Shelby on Tuesday.
