NORTON SHORES – The Reeths-Puffer baseball team bounced back from a tough opening loss to finish 1-1 in a doubleheader against Mona Shores on Tuesday.
The Sailors edged out the Rockets, 3-1, in game one.
Trent Reichert gave up two runs and struck out two batters in five innings.
Lukas Johnson had one hit and one RBI, while Holden Earnest tallied a lone hit.
The Rockets turned it around in the nightcap as they topped the Sailors 7-3.
Brayden Mitchelson allowed just two hits and no runs in almost four innings.
Reichert lifted the Rockets with a monster three-run homer. Quinn Alderink, Landyn Wilson, Earnest, Chase Smith, Jaxson Whitaker and Jack Yonkman each posted a hit.
Reeths-Puffer will host Mona Shores on Wednesday.
