SHELBY – The Ravenna softball team continued its hot streak with a doubleheader sweep against Shelby on Tuesday evening.

The Bulldogs cruised to a 17-0 win in the opener.

Natalie Rosel gave up two walks and struck out five batters in two innings. Riley Homoly came on in relief and struck out three in one inning.

Sydney Morrissey had three hits and Addison Gillard added a pair of hits. Reese Herremans, Emily Postema and Raelyn Olsen chipped in a hit apiece.

In the nightcap, the Bulldogs routed the Tigers, 15-0.

Gillard struck out five from the mound in two innings, while Homoly struck out two batters in an inning.

Morrissey had two hits and two doubles. Kendra Denhof and Taylor Nutt each had a hit.

Ravenna (9-0 overall, 4-0 WMC) will travel to Coopersville on Thursday for a doubleheader.

Shelby is set to host Hart for a doubleheader on Tuesday, April 23.
