GRANT – Grant bats came alive in the Tigers’ softball sweep of Howard City Tri County on Friday.

The Tigers won 16-1 and 29-4.

Reese Gragg earned the opening win on the mound and allowed just three hits but struck out seven batters.

Nikki Saxton had three hits, two runs and an RBI, while Alexa Obenauf had two hits including a triple, two runs and two RBI. Lilly De Los Santos added two hits, one run and three RBI.

In the nightcap, Gragg again earned the win and gave up three hits and stuck out four.

De Los Santos had four hits, two doubles, four runs and three RBI. Gracen Scott chipped in three hits, one homer, three runs and four RBI, while Leah Kaminski had three hits, one double, three runs and three RBI. Obenauf chipped in three hits and three runs.

Also, Emma Thompson had two hits, a home run, three runs and three RBI. Gragg had two hits, one double, one run and two RBI.

Grant will visit Central Montcalm for a doubleheader on Tuesday.
