Reeths-Puffer softball claims sweep of a doubleheader against Holland West Ottawa

HOLLAND – The Reeths-Puffer softball team cruised to a doubleheader sweep of West Ottawa on Saturday.

The Rockets went off in the opener with an 18-0 win in three innings and 11-1 in the second game.

Kyleigh Bilek earned the win on the mound with three strikeouts.

Kaylee Jones had a home run and a single, while Megan Barmes added two singles and three RBI. Lainey McDaniel had a single and a double. Natalie Kunnen chipped in a triple. Jersi Bilek and Mady Snyder each had a single. Abbie Critchett posted four RBI.

In the nightcap, McDaniel struck out eight batters. Kyleigh and Jones each had a single and a double. Critchett Barmes and McDaniel each chipped in a single.

Reeths-Puffer will be at home on Tuesday for an OK-Green doubleheader against Holland.
