The Whitehall baseball team cruised to a West Michigan Conference doubleheader sweep on Tuesday night against Montague.

The Vikings won the first game 11-0, then completed the sweep with a 10-1 win in the nightcap.

Ryne Christensen earned the Game 1 win, allowing no runs on six hits while striking out five batters in five innings.

Whitehall was led at the plate by Kyle Stratton and Isaac Van Amberg with two hits each while Noah Meinert knocked in three runs.

Van Amberg also scored three runs.

In Game 2, Brock Morningstar earned the victory. He allowed one run on four hits while striking out five in 3.1 innings.

Morningstar also helped himself out at the plate by knocking in three runs. Christensen paced the Whitehall offense with two hits while Stratton scored three runs.

The Vikings are now 7-4 on the season and 2-2 in conference action.
