GRAND HAVEN — Grand Haven’s baseball team used a four-run second inning to take command and sped away from East Kentwood, 9-0 in an OK Conference-Red game at home on Tuesday afternoon.

Nick Wilson picked up the win on the bump for the Buccaneers, throwing six innings and striking out 12 batters. Trenton Caswell pitched one inning of relief and fanned two.

Ty Sandwick had a big game at the plate for Grand Haven, going 3-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored. Evan DuVall and Xavier Rodriguez each posted two hits, an RBI and one run in the win.

Grand Haven’s Jared Tithof had a hit and two RBI, Owen Brunsting posted one hit and had an RBI and two runs. Lucas Burns had a hit and two runs scored.

Braden Rademaker, Caswell, Dayton Deal and Jake Mahoney each posted hits for the Buccaneers.
