Preseason individual wrestling rankings released by Michigangrappler.com

As the wrestling season kicks off today, several local wrestlers and teams earned preseason rankings by Michigangrappler.com

In Division 1, Grand Haven has four wrestlers ranked in their respective weight classes heading into the season. Camden Bertucci (112) is ranked second along with Dakota Juarez (152), while Connor Moynihan (171) is ranked fourth and Matt Mulcahy (215) is ranked fifth.

In Division 2, Fremont’s Johnny Wiggers (152) is second and Luke Spotts (125) is third, Fruitport’s Tommy Martinez (135) is sixth and Dakota Gordon (152) is ninth, Reeths-Puffer’s Tyler Stenberg (140) is fourth and Spring Lake’s Billy Belcher (285) is fourth.

In Division 3, Whitehall’s Zack Cooper (125) is ranked first, Reiley Brown (103), Logan Irey (112) and Logan Morningstar (285) are all ranked third, Steve Sika (160) is fourth, Joe Sika (170) is fifth, Alex Whitener (125) is sixth and Casey Robinson (119) is eighth.

Shelby’s Dillon Ankey (215) is third, Austin Felt (112) is fourth as is David Guerra (135), while Forrest Courtright (160) and Kevin Brink (285) are both ranked seventh.

Mason County Central’s Doug Wyman (285) is ranked sixth.

In Division 4, Hesperia’s Zack Yates (130) is ranked second, Chase Siersema (125) is ranked third, Cash Bolles (145) is fourth, Travess Smith (140) is fifth, Cory Argens (112) is ranked seventh, Lee Siersema (152) is eighth and David Jacobs (135) is ninth.

Holton’s Garrett Martin (119) is fourth, Jordan Whitener (112) is ranked ninth as is Garret Younts (125) and Jacob Moreen (152) is 10th.

Montague’s Sawyer Smith (160) is fifth, while Kent City’s Shane Rodenberg (171) is first, Jared Freeland (145) is seventh, Jayson Ellicot (140) is eighth as is Tom Devos (285).

Hart’s Alex Brown (215) is ranked seventh, while Tricia Martin (103) and Joe Zarzoza (189) are both ranked eighth.

In the team rankings, Grand Haven is ranked eighth in Division 1, Whitehall is fourth and Shelby seventh in Division 3, while Hesperia is ranked third in Division 4 and Holton is ninth.
