Reed Hrynewich notches five points, Mona Shores whips Sault Ste Marie in prep hockey action

Mona Shores scored three goals in the first and third periods en route to a 7-3 win over Sault Ste Marie in Grosse Pointe Friday.
Reed Hrynewich recorded a hat trick and added two assists as the Sailors (8-0) pulled away after a 3-2 lead in the first.
The Sailors were outshot 34-22, but Nate Rabbitt came up with 31 saves.
Adam Ulfsax, Ben Essenberg, Glenn Kastelic and Sam Curran added goals for Shores and Tyler Bryant finished with two assists.
