The Western Michigan Christian baseball squad swept Godwin Heights in a doubleheader, 13-0 and 12-7, on Thursday.

LSJ Logo incertIn Game 1, the Warriors were led by Coleman Brott with three hits and three RBIs, while Sam Goorman added a two-run double and Brant Zeerip chipped in with three runs and two RBIs.

WMC’s pitcher Jared Varnado picked up the victory, striking out three batters in four innings.

Varnado also added two hits and scored two runs in Game 1.

In Game 2, the Warriors were paced by Cam Waller with two hits and four RBIs, while Jake Moser added two RBIs and Tyler Van Beek chipped in with three runs and two RBIs.

Varnado pitched the win in Game 2 for WMC.
