Fruitport girls tennis team guts out a 5-3 victory over Hamilton

The Fruitport girls tennis team pulled out a tough 5-3 victory over Hamilton on Thursday in a non-league match.

The Trojans got three wins in the singles flights. Trinity Busscher (No. 1) pulled out a three-set tiebreaker, while Haliegh Winskas (No. 2) and Olivia Parling (No. 3) both won in straight set.

Fruitport collected two wins in doubles. Ashleigh Welty and Emily Dirkse (No. 1) won in straight sets while Rachel Weiland and Hannah LaBash (No 2) won a crucial three-set tiebreaker.
