The Kent City boys basketball team needed overtime to defeat Grand River Prep 72-67 on Tuesday in a non-league contest.
Eli Carlson paced the Eagles with 22 points, while Brenden Geers added 19 and both Max Hudson and Gio Weeks had 10.
Kent City led 15-13 after the first quarter, 30-26 at halftime and 45-38 through three stanzas.
The Eagle struggled from the free throw line late in regulation, which forced an overtime period.
Kent City, which is now 5-5 on the season, outscored Grand River Prep by a 7-2 margin during overtime.
