The Muskegon Lumberjacks made the most of their opportunities on Friday night in a 6-2 victory over the host Youngstown Phantoms.

With just 19 shots on goal, the Jacks were able to put six in the net, led by Tyler Heinonen with two goals.

Muskegon’s balanced scoring attack also received goals from Ben Foster, Carter Foguth, Campbell Elynuik and Matt Mendelson, who also drew an assist.

Goaltender Kevin Lindskoug stopped 31-of-33 shots and earned the victory in the Lumberjacks’ net.

The teams will face off again Saturday night before returning home to battle Des Moines at 5:15 p.m. Sunday at L.C. Walker Arena.
