If you like watching pitcher’s duels, the Montague-Muskegon Catholic Central game had just what you were looking for.
MCC’s Nick Holt struck out nine, allowed five hits, walked three and hit one batter in the Crusader’s 1-0 victory over the host Wildcats. Chayce Lohman pitched a solid game for Montague. He struck out two, allowed five hits and walked two.
Holt finished with two hits and Adam Callow had a double. Alex Lewandoski singled in the game’s only run.
“This was a great high school baseball game between two quality teams,” Montague coach Kevin Buchberger said.”Both pitchers were outstanding and the teams fought right until the end.”
Montague is now 15-4.
