Fruitport posted a pair of wins over the past three days in girls soccer. The Trojans topped Fremont 3-1 in Lakes 8 action on Monday and beat Holland West Ottawa 2-1 in a non-league contest on Saturday.

Marissa Hassevoort gave Fruitport an early 1-0 lead on Monday off on pass from Emily Winicki.

LSJ Logo incertEmily Pieczynski’s goal on a free kick from 40 yards out put the Trojans up 2-0. Lauren Maus gave Fruitport a 3-1 lead on an assist from Jaydie Hanks.

On Saturday, Fruitport’s Marisa Carmean was credited for the game winning goal late in the first half. Monica Holden posted the win in goal with six saves.

Jasmine Martin, Lexie Gross, Isabel Virtue, Trisha Schlegel and Kaylee Parisian all came off the bench and played well for Fruitport (9-2-2).

Ludington 2, Muskegon Catholic 1Jacquelyn Lynch scored both goals for Ludington in the Lakes 8 conference win. Talia Tyler found the net for MCC (3-6-1) on the assist from Lilly Conroy. Ludington goalie Amanda Payne made eight saves in the win while Crusader goalie Mackenzie Wozniak posted six saves.

East Kentwood 2, Grand Haven 0 –  The Bucs were outshot 11-5 and gave up both goals in the first half. Goalkeeper Alyson Donselar posted three saves for Grand Haven.
