Detroit sports glance: Tigers fall short against Rangers in Wolf’s Tiger debut

Rangers 5, Tigers 3 – Ian Kinsler’s three-run home run in the ninth inning with two outs was a little too late, as the Texas Rangers defeated the Tigers Saturday night.

Kinsler led the Tigers offensively with a double, home run and three RBIs.

Detroit starting pitcher Randy Wolf took the loss in his Tiger debut, allowing four runs on nine hits in seven innings.

The Tigers will look to take a split in the series with a victory over the Rangers Sunday afternoon.
