A balanced attack at the net and dominating results on the scoreboard prompted Whitehall volleyball coach Ted Edsall to claim his Vikings played their best match of the season on Tuesday against Shelby.

The Vikings completed a three-game sweep of the Tigers, 25-17, 25-17, 25-9, to help them improve to 14-2 overall and 3-0 in West Michigan Conference action.

Melissa Shoup led the Vikings with nine kills, but three others had four kills each — Julie Brown, Bri Copley and Alyssa Myers.

Myers totaled 29 assists from her setter position, while Copley totaled team highs in digs (10) and aces (5). Emma Knowlton also contributed four aces and six digs.
