The Mona Shores volleyball team came away with a straight set victory over Kenowa Hills in Wednesday night’s Class A

district semifinals at Grand Haven High School.

The Sailors are now 29-15 on the season and will play district host Grand Haven Friday night at 5 p.m. for the championship.

“We played very solid, fundamental volleyball today,” said Mona Shores Coach Dan Potts. “I thought our players did a great job of communicating and taking advantage of our opponent’s mistakes.

“We look forward to the challenge against Grand Haven, they are a solid team that has battled injuries all year.”

Madison Dunn led the Sailors with nine kills and two blocks, while Kennedy Potts added 12 digs and Kaitlyn Hermanson had 17 assists and three kills.
