LSJ high school basketball preview section hits the streets in Muskegon area

The local high school basketball season is just getting cooking, with the action getting into full swing after the holidays.

Local Sports Journal is welcoming the new season with the publication of it’s full-color 2016 high school basketball preview section, which is available for free at local high school gymnasiums before games, as well as local restaurants ad retail outlets listed below.

The special newsprint section features previews of the area’s 44 boys and girls varsity basketball teams, as well a cover profile of Muskegon High School boys coach Keith Guy, whose team could make it back to the state finals this season.

The basketball preview also profiles Hall of Fame Western Michigan Christian Coach Jim Goorman, who has come out of retirement to assist his son with the WMC girls team while battling cancer; and a preview of this season’s anticipated heated rivalry between the talented Mona Shores and Reeths-Puffer girls teams.
