The Mona Shores girls bowling team won a Division 2 regional championship on Friday at Sherman Lanes in Muskegon.

The Sailors won the event easily, outdistancing second-place Cedar Springs 3,519-3,211. Sparta finished third with a score of 3,187.

All three teams now advance to next weekend’s Division 2 team state finals in Canton, Michigan.

In Division 3, the Oakridge girls team finished second in the regional tournament at Park Center Lanes in Wyoming. The Eagles totaled 3,237 points, behind champion Hudsonville Unity Christian (3,745) and ahead of third-place Central Montcalm (3,208).

All three teams now advance to the Division 3 state finals next weekend at Northway Lanes in Muskegon.

In Division 4, both the Ravenna boys and girls teams finished third in the regional tournament at Northway Lanes in Muskegon.

The Bulldog boys were in a very tight race, totaling 3,404 points, just behind second-place Breckenridge (3,406) and champion Portland St. Patrick (3,433). Those three teams will compete in next weekend’s state finals in Battle Creek.

The Ravenna girls had 3,136 points, behind second-place Lakeview (3,157) and champion Beaverton (3,226). Those teams will also compete in the state finals in Battle Creek.

Individual regional bowling tournaments in Divisions 1-4 are taking place around the state on Saturday.
