The Ludington football team kicked off the season with a big win against Indian River Inland Lakes 56-0 on Friday in non-league competition.
The Orioles scored four touchdowns in the first quarter to take a 28-0 lead, then added another two scores in the
second quarter to grab a 42-0 halftime lead.
Ludington added two more touchdowns in the third frame to close out the game scoring.
The Orioles were led offensively by Calvin Irelan with 113 yards rushing on seven carries while quarterback Garrett Meeker completed eight passes for 243 yards. Jake Plamondon contributed with 86 yards receiving on the night.
Ludington will travel to Vermontville Maple Valley on Thursday night.
