The Oakridge girls soccer team overcame an early deficit and defeated Shelby 3-1 on Tuesday evening in a West Michigan Conference game.

The Tigers opened the scoring 20 minutes into the contest on a goal from Bri Kukla.

Oakridge responded with goals from Annika Friday and Madison Bisson to give the Eagles a 2-1 advantage at halftime.

The Eagles closed out the scoring with a goal from Audrey Wildig with nine minutes remaining in the game.

Oakridge improved to 3-3 overall on the season and 3-0 in league play, while the Tigers are now 1-3 on the year and 1-1 in conference competition.

LUDINGTON 3, FREMONT 0 – Bri Mesyar paced the Orioles with two goals while Katrina Lesinski chipped in with one to lead Ludington to its first win of the season.

Ludington outshot the Packers by a commanding 16-5 margin.

Lindsey Lovato stopped all five shots faced in goal for the Orioles in net.

The Orioles are now 1-3-1 overall on the season, while Fremont is now 3-1-1 on the year.

MONA SHORES 8, MUSKEGON 0 – The Sailors had seven different goal scorers en route to an O-K Black Conference victory on Tuesday night.

Bri Wade paced Mona Shores with two goals, while Julia Tierman, Riley Rosenthal, Alexa Musk, Mieke Hart, Nora Brown and Madelyn Anderson all added a goal each.

Mieke Hart added two assists for the Sailors.

Mona Shores’ goalkeeper Emma Lynn earned a shutout victory in net.

The Sailors are now 1-1-2 overall on the season.
