The Whitehall volleyball team opened West Michigan Conference play with a win over Ravenna on Tuesday night in three straight sets.

The Vikings won by serving scores of 26-24, 25-19 and 25-14 margins.

Rayne Thompson paced Whitehall with 22 kills and 10 digs while Rileigh Thommen added nine kills.

The Vikings were led defensively by Charlie Baker with 20 digs and both Charley Klint and Jaden Mikkelson each had 10. Maggie Evans chipped in with 22 assists.

Whitehall is now 1-0 in conference play and 2-4 overall.

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 3, TRI-UNITY CHRISTIAN 1 – The Crusaders won by service scores of 25-15, 25-13, 23-25 and 25-21 to earn the non-league victory.

Erin LaVigne and Calvin’Nae Simmons led MCC with 10 kills apiece while Claire LaVigne chipped in with 29 assists.

The Crusaders were paced defensively by Caitlyn Fodrocy with 33 digs and Erin LaVigne with 18.

HART 3, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 1 – The Spartans fell in four sets by service scores of 26-24, 14-25, 20-25, and 20-25 in West Michigan Conference play.

Hailey Jackson led MCC with five kills while Alexis Bendele had seven digs defensively. Braylen Green added six digs.
