Jayhawks drop both volleyball matches over the weekend at Owens Express Invitational

The Muskegon Community College volleyball squad dropped both of its matches on Sunday in the third day of the Owens Express Invitational.

The Jayhawks lost in three straight sets (10-25, 22-25 and 15-25) to Parkland, then fell to Waubonsee 3-1 (15-25, 25-22, 22-25 and 20-25).

Abby Seeger paced MCC with 17 kills, while Amber Jacobs added 16 and Jordyn Carlyle had 14.

The Jayhawks (5-6) were led defensively by Carlyle with 31 digs and Gianna Megna with 25. Megan Crowley chipped in with 72 assists.
