The Kent City football squad opened the postseason season with a 14-8 win over Grand Rapids NorthPointe Christian in Division 7 pre-districts on Friday.

The Eagles led 6-0 at halftime and 14-0 through three quarters.

Max Hudson paced Kent City’s offense with 79 yards rushing and a touchdown. Hudson also caught a 13-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Eli Carlson.

Bradley Brooks had two interceptions for the Eagle defense.

The Eagles are now 7-3 on the season and will face Pewamo-Westphalia next weekend in the Division 7 districts finals.
