Mona Shores girls golf team dominates O-K Green conference jamboree; Reeths-Puffer finishes third

The Mona Shores girls golf team had a great day on Tuesday, winning the O-K Green conference meet at Lincoln Golf Club, hosted by Reeths-Puffer.

The Sailors finished with 173 points, well ahead of second-place Zeeland East (190), Reeths-Puffer (193) and Holland (214).

Mona Shores’ Dazmin Merwin had the top individual score of the tournament with a 39. Riley Trygstad finished second overall with a 40. Both were personal best scores. Rounding out the Sailor score sheet were Lily Miller (eighth place, 46), Olivia Kasher (11th place, 48), Elise Houle (13th place, 49) and Taylor Quick (15th place, 50).

Reeths-Puffer’s Paige Anderson was fourth with a 45, while her teammate Emma Homfeld was ninth with a 47. The rest of the Rocket scorers were Olivia Harris (13th, 49), Michaela Beidler (17th, 52), Tiffany DeMaio (21st, 56) and Lydia Carty (28th, 61).
