The Montague Wildcats blanked Hart 55-0 on Friday in a West Michigan Conference season opener.

Quarterback Drew Collins threw four touchdown passes in the first half for the Wildcats, while Dylan Everett added a four-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

Montague led 35-0 at halftime.

Everett added on a nine-yard touchdown to open third quarter scoring, backup quarterback Andrew Kool fired a touchdown pass and Izac Yarka had a 30-yard interception return to close out the scoring.

Collins had 175 yards on 14 completions to go along with his four touchdowns. Everett added 159 yards rushing on 14 carries with three touchdowns in the contest.

Sam Smith had a big night for Montague with 74 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Owen Petersen and Rodney Brassfield had a 48- and 47-yard touchdown catch, respectively.

Trey Mikkelsen paced the Wildcats defense with five tackles.
