Orchard View football team opens the 2020 season with a tough 43-0 loss to Hopkins

The Orchard View Cardinals struggled against Hopkins on Friday evening, losing 43-0 in a non-conference season opener.

The Cardinals trailed 8-0 after the first quarter, 28-0 at halftime and 43-0 through three quarters.

Orchard View running back Travis Spight ran for 84 yards on 12 carries on offense, while chipping in seven tackles on the defensive side of the ball.

The Cardinals will face off against Manistee next week in a Lakes 8 Conference battle.
