The Holton football team had its season come to an end with a tough loss against Fowler, 53-6, in a Division 8 district semifinal game Friday night. 
The Red Devils trailed just 13-6 with four minutes left in the first half, but a pair of turnovers allowed Fowler to tack on two more scores before the half.
The momentum continued into the second half as Fowler pulled away for the win.
Austin Hawkins scored the lone Holton touchdown on a 57-yard reception from Austin Fowler in the first half.
Hawkins also led the Holton defense with 10 tackles.
The Red Devils finish the season with a record of 3-5.
