The Whitehall volleyball squad advanced to D2 district finals after defeating Fruitport on Wednesday in four sets by scores of 27-25, 25-19, 19-25 and 25-21.

Charlie Baker led the charge for the Vikings with 10 kills, while Caydence King had nine and both Charley Klint and Lauryn Carr had seven apiece. Maggie Evans recorded six kills to go along with her 42 assists and 13 aces.

Whitehall was paced defensively by Ryleigh Mott with 24 digs while Baker recorded 17.

The Vikings, who are now 19-8 on the season, will face the winner of Montague and Oakridge in the district finals on Thursday.

The Trojans were led offensively by Kylie Rudolph with 11 kills, while Sydney Woods, Brooke Sieplinga and Autumn Sharlow all recorded 10 each.

Sarah Zielinski held up Fruitport defensively with 29 digs, while Woods had 17.

The Trojans end their season with a 7-22 record.
